Big Brothers Big Sisters creates professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
We create friendships that lead children to better long-term outcomes like being more likely to graduate and less likely to perform illegal activities.
You must be 18 years or older to become a Big.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS
We want to make sure that you know exactly what you are getting into. The process from signing up to becoming a Big could take up to 8 weeks in total.
This is because we take care to screen everyone who comes into our program and we want to find the best match possible that will last a lifetime.

INTERVIEW & TRAINING
Complete your paperwork, interview with us so that we can get to know you, and then complete our pre-match training.
GET MATCHED
Once you’re approved, we’ll carefully select the right Match for you and you’ll meet your new Little! Congratulations!
MENTOR
Hang out with your Little twice a month for a few hours. Your friendship can ignite their potential!
COMMUNITY BASED
Our traditional and most flexible mentoring program, we pair adult mentors with youth ages 6 to 13 under the commitment to see each other twice a month for a few hours. We hand-select every Match based on shared interests, geography, and personality.
Meets Twice a Month
The outings create opportunities for meaningful conversations about school, friends, and dreaming big.
Hang Out in the Community
Matches plan their own time together doing what they enjoy when it works best for them.
Long-Lasting Friendship
By just having a Big by their side, Littles are set on the right path to grow into mature teens and thriving young adults.
CONSERVATION BUDDIES
Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Conservation Buddies is being featured for Community Based matches that are interested in the outdoors and learning about conservation. An outdoor program that educates Littles on the importance of conservation and learning more about their local ecosystems.

SITE BASED
School Buddies allow Volunteers & Littles to meet once a week during the academic year at the Littles' school to hang out during lunchtime. Real Men Read brings MENtors from the community to the classrooms to read to 2nd & 3rd grade students during the academic year.
School Buddies
Volunteers and children meet once a week during the child’s 45 minute lunch break, utilizing resources available within the school.
Real Men Read
An easy volunteer-driven program that brings MENtors from the community into 2nd & 3rd grade classrooms.
Volunteers read 5 times during the school year at their assigned school of choice.
