We want to make sure that you know exactly what you are getting into. The process from signing up to becoming a Big could take up to 8 weeks in total.
This is because we take care to screen everyone who comes into our program and we want to find the best match possible that will last a lifetime.
INTERVIEW - TRAINING
Complete your paperwork, interview with us so that we can get to know you, and then complete our pre-match training.
Once you’re approved, we’ll carefully select the right Match for you and you’ll meet your new Little! Congratulations!
Our traditional and most flexible mentoring program, we pair adult mentors with youth ages 6 to 13 under the commitment to see each other twice a month for a few hours. We hand-select every Match based on shared interests, geography, and personality.
Meets Twice a Month
The outings create opportunities for meaningful conversations about school, friends, and dreaming big.
Hang Out in the Community
Matches plan their own time together doing what they enjoy when it works best for them.
By just having a Big by their side, Littles are set on the right path to grow into mature teens and thriving young adults.
Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Conservation Buddies is being featured for Community Based matches that are interested in the outdoors and learning about conservation. An outdoor program that educates Littles on the importance of conservation and learning more about their local ecosystems.
