Big Brothers Big Sisters Finds New Program Director and Activities Director

BBBS hires Mark Buchanan as Program Director and Victoria Durnell as Activities Director for Allen County

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana (BBBSNEI) has hired a new Program Director, Mark Buchanan, for Allen County. Previously a BBBS Big Futures Match Support Specialist, Mark is ready to take on his new role as Program Director with a vision for improvement.

With vast experience in human services, Mark will use his background as a career specialist and case manager to strengthen the support provided for both parents of Littles and Bigs in the program.

“My goals are to restructure Match Support in a way where there can be more engagement with the matches and MSS,” Mark states. “I plan on getting more parents engaged; I want to provide support for parents and Bigs.”

Also already working in BBBS, the previous Health and Wellness Activities Coordinator, Victoria Durnell, will now lead the Activities team on match activities, family events, and Big Futures activities as the new BBBS Activities Director.

With a bachelor’s in health and wellness and a master’s in healthcare administration, Victoria plans to create a cohesive activity calendar for the non-special event activities.

Leading with experience and dedication, Mark Buchanan and Victoria Durnell will be the new contacts for program and activities inquiries, respectively. Reach Mark Buchanan at 260-261-6176 or [email protected]. Victoria Durnell can be reached at 260-376-0798 or [email protected].
