Having graduated from Cornerstone Christian School, Adrian is thrilled and excited for the next stage of life. A hardworking and motivated young man, Adrian made honor roll the last two years of high school, even while playing basketball both years and working a part time job his senior year. A long time passion, Adrian has been playing basketball for years and, through the team and the sport, has learned important lessons on determination and dedication.

Supporting him over the last decade, Adrian has had his Big Brother Brian encouraging him to fulfill his potential. Brian has continually encouraged Adrian to give his best academically and set himself up for future success. According to Adrian, “Brian has given me experiences that I would have never dreamed of having before. He is my real big brother. He is just different than anyone I’ve ever known and it’s what I want to be like too.” Through their time together, Adrian and Brian have truly become family. The continued and dependable presence of Brain in Adrian’ life has led Adrian to courageously face challenges and learn lessons from whatever he experiences, easy or hard.

Post-graduation, Adrian has decided to pursue the medical field to become an orthopedic surgeon. He will begin university this fall at Manchester University. Adrian’s strong intrinsic motivation and his willingness to put in the effort required to succeed will enable him to accomplish all he sets out for and more.

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that every child inherently has the ability to succeed and thrive in life. The nation’s largest donor-supported and volunteer-supported mentoring network, we make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers – our Bigs – and youth – our Littles – ages 6 through 22, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people – particularly youth from disadvantaged socioeconomic demographics.
