BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE STRIKES A WIN WITH OPENING NIGHT

Our 90’s-themed Bowl For Kids’ Sake kicked off with style, with bowlers rocking their color-blocked windbreakers and bucket hats. Teams filled the alleys at Fort Wayne’s Thunderbowl for a night of free bowling, pizza, pop, and beer.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ longest-running FUNdraiser, where teams of five pledge to raise $500 to get our kids off the waiting list. The money raised allows us to conduct in-depth background checks of volunteers and make sure our matches have everything they need so our Littles can thrive.

Big Brothers Big Sisters staff was on hand to pass out free beads and slap bracelets, and every participant received a free Bowl For Kids’ Sake t-shirt with an airbrushed Fresh Prince-style logo to show off their swag. It’s truly a night of fun, with hilarious costumes, two hours of free bowling, raffle tickets, and door prizes for everything from highest score to most gutter balls (and we get a lot of gutter balls!).

We had a lot of fun and raised a lot of money, but Bowl For Kids’ Sake isn’t over yet! By clicking the buttons below, you can register a team to bowl, donate to an existing team, or even contribute to “Team Waiting Littles”, a team captained by our very own Little Brother Kadrian, who is still waiting for a Big Brother! Every donation will help us find Bigs for all our Littles on the waiting list, so don’t be shy! Donate today!
