Partner - Foundations

On behalf of over 1,500 area children, we'd like to thank our Foundation partners for 2007

Non-profit charitable foundations have been the backbone of BBBS funding. We have been the recipients of generous donations and program funding from some of the region's most discerning foundations, as well as local, state, and federal grants.

These funds are a trust, and we are committed to keeping that trust by spending these dollars effectively to have as large an impact on as many children as possible, and then measuring our results for continuous improvement.

The acquisition of five counties (LaGrange and Steuben in Indiana and Branch, Hillsdale and St. Joseph in Michigan)in 2006 and 2007has enabled us to reduce redundancy, leverage economies of scale, and focus on efficiency. Our measures of success include the number of children served, our overall impact on the community, the number and quality of the partnerships we are able to make with businesses, foundations, other agencies, and more.

We are uncompromisingly committed to sustainable growth and excellence in service delivery.

Opportunities for support from foundation partners include:

Support for mentoring the children of incarcerated parents through the faith community.
Support for Community-based mentoring in the Hispanic community
Supporting Site-based mentoring programs
Efforts to reach out to minority communities.
